THE BOTANICAL GARDENS IN KANDY

The botanic gardens in Kandy is supposed to be one of the best in the Asian region consist of more than 5000 varieties of trees , creepers , bamboos, herbs, cactai , orchids, (indigenous, endemic, native,and even some trees who's latex is poisonous which are distinctly categorized) are found here. The orchid house needs to be given a special place due to the wide selection of rare orchids which are incidentally epiphytes which use their aerial roots to absorb nutrients from the atmosphere. Danrobians ,Vandas, cattaleyas ,gramatapholiems are just a few varieties which are found here.
