Experiencing the traditional way Sri Lankan's live in a typical village tour comprising an old fashion mode of transport in a bullock cart which is now quite obsolete with the advent of modern transport, a ride in a wooden canoe with two villages steering the wooden craft through water lilies in a natural lake. Sri Lankas Dry zone is littered with small lakes called tanks which are used by villages for irrigation mostly paddy fields and traditional home grown village plots of vegetables. finally partaking in the preparation of a flat bread prepared of millet flour meal in a a homemade clay hearth. Peeling of the rice husk, coir making, weaving of coconut leaves for thatched roofs of the villages are some of the highlights of this activity.
