Kaudulla national Park which boarders the town of habarana consist of two. other Parks  called the minneriya national park and the Eco park . During the dry and rainy season you are sure to view herds of elephants in these Parks, incidetely minneriya has been declared by UN as the 6th greatest wild life spectacle in the  world, the congregation of the herds of elephants are called  the gathering. Just  getting ready by  jeep to view the herds and we were not disappointed saw hundreds in different locations of the park.

The fort at Galle which has been  declared a world heritage site by UNESCO is one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka .The maze of narrow streets as well as the old buildings which has plenty of history dating back to the occupation of the Portuguese , Dutch,as well as the English is a artitectures dream . The restored buildings have been converted into chic boutique hotels which fetch premium prices and are never in need of new client's . Anyone visiting Sri Lanka should make it a point to visit Galle  if  not it would be a great pity that you  would have missed a vibrant part of the island.
